Visiting the Gunwharf outlets. Wanted a quick lunch as time is for finding the bargains. Closest was Chiquito as we walked up. I know it’s a fast food chain outlets so shouldn’t expect too much, but it’s just bad enough to make me write about it.First thing was, I arrived at the restaurant at 14:10 on a Tuesday, past any rush. Most of the table was empty, but the lady put us on the table closest/next to the toilets.Ordered the nachos to start and tacos for main. Then the Jambalaya for my girl. The waiter asked if we wanted things to arrive all at once, pressing for time I said yes…We waited for our food, maybe 15 mins, it feet longer….. our mains arrived, it was good, as normal food should be. I specifically said mains, as the nachos was no wear to be seen. I waited thinking it will arrived but finished my main course. So had to ask the waiter… something had gone wrong so had to wait another 5 min.So they apologised when the nachos arrived. It was horrible, the nachos was stale. No crunch, tasted like it was opened since the weekend. The guacamole sauce was only enough for a few nachos…We had no service at all. Our waiter only came to us once we finished all the food.Too bad, we like Mexican food.

By far one of the worst experience Mexican places in been with. , the service is extremely poor and the food quality is below average , our starters took 45 minutes to be ready , that was a complete disaster , then came the food warmed in the microwave .

Chiquito is a great mexican restaurant on Gunwarf Quays. It has an amazing price quality relationship which means that you’ll good, well served and exciting mexican food for a relatively low price.Fajitas are the best, specially chicken! Also tried the tacos as a starter, they are delicious too.I always get my Desperados with a slice of lime on top!
