Ive been visiting The Golden Kitchen in North Harrow on and off for 40 years. Its as magnetically appealing now as it was when I was 9. A family-run business with good, old-fashioned hospitality and quality food at the heart of their ethos, why would you go anywhere else? Ive lived in many parts of the country, and had fish and chips in numerous restaurants but this remains the best without question. The shop was closed unexpectedly for 2 weeks in November and I think the whole of Harrow was in shock. Its such a mainstay of our local landscape. But now its reopened, its better than ever. Whether eating in or taking away, the food is always cooked perfectly. And they have an extraordinary range on their menu too. I implore you to visit The Golden Kitchen in North Harrow. No, more than that, I defy you not to!
