Won’t be going back. Used to be quite nice place to have Italian food around the town.But having been disappointed on my last two visits I will never go back here.To start off we ordered some soft drinks and they tasted like ones from bottle that was opened two weeks ago. No fizz no taste so we had to ask for canned ones. This happened on my last visit also.If you are charging over 2 for a cup of coke then have a decency to at least serve fizzy ones even if they are from bottle.Later ordered some Peronies but they were warm.Waiters and waitresses are not very attentive. I would understand if it was busy but there were only three other table tonight. We weren’t even asked whether our food was alright or not.Food was terrible. Usual choice of spagetti marinana was bland and pizza was cold and salty.Not going back again and I will make sure I spread the word.
Paul. I got 4 lamb cutlets. 6 small tin potatoes Maybe half a carrot. Sliced and the smallest bit of Brockley you can imagineBecause they don’t sell steak!! Thank god,,, Why not try Ilcameno!! If you want a good. Meal I could only give this place. 5 out of ten as cheese cake was nice
Going Down Hill Fast. Something in this restaurant has changed, the food and atmosphere used to be excellent but our last two visits have been awful. Against our better judgement we decided to give the restaurant another chance putting our last visit to just one of those off days in the kitchen. Unfortunately for us it wasn’t, whilst the ingredients tasted fresh the sauce tasted like it was out of a packet, also the staff gave the impression they really didn’t want to be there so hurry up and eat up so we can get out of here!!. When we mentioned our thoughts to the manageress she gave the impression that she didn’t care what we thought, although putting on a fake smile saying she will mention our thoughts to chef!Very disappointing and will steer clear of here from now on.
Questionable Italian produce. Unfortunately, this is the only Italian restaurant anywhere near me. If only it was better.I’ve been here a couple of times and it’s been somewhat hit and miss. My most recent experience was a serious MISS. On questioning the waiter as to whether the soupy-sauce-like substance on my pizza was mozzarella – it clearly wasn’t mozzarella! – he adamantly insisted that it was, and even declared ‘trust me I’m Italian, this is mozzarella’. Two things: I don’t know what part of Italy this guy is from, secondly my parents are Italian and I’ve eaten enough mozzarella to know what it looks like after 10 minutes in an oven.Admittedly, the head waitress did come over to apologise after hearing what had happened, but still not sure why they are serving up such poor quality ingredients.If they sorted this out, it would be one of a few steps towards making this an authentic Italian experience.
This place has a good strategy for kids as well : a well thought out children’s menu, a colouring page and crayons and friendly staff. Good for a ‘grown up’ treat…..
Simple but great Italian food at a reasonable price. Excellent, friendly service and my favourite local place to eat when we don’t feel like cooking. Also has a deli attached for for fresh breads, snacks and coffees during the day.
Great Food, Great Price. This restaurant is a local gem. The decor leaves me a bit cold but the food is always fantastic (particulary the Seafood Marinara). The specials are also very good.The service and food is great for a local restaurant – you always now what you are getting. I have eaten here over 30 times when I don’t fancy cooking!
