What a disappointment…. Probably a mistake to visit on a Saturday evening when it was crowded and noisy, service was very slow and staff not pro-active. Poppadums and pickles in unattractive dishes, no attempt to offer me a drink. No still water available. Ordered Shabzi Shashlik with hot side sauce. Half the vegetables turned out to be cubes of Paneer (did they confuse the dishes?) mostly covered in charred red paste. The ‘hot’ sauce was a distinctly ‘medium’ red gloop which seemed little more than thick tomato sauce. The accompanying Pilau Rice was served in lumps. Had I been alone I would have complained; as the guest of a group I felt awkward about doing so. I have certainly eaten better curry in at least three different restaurants within a few miles.
