What a meal. We had heard the Fox was a good place to eat so we booked an evening meal. We were not let down, the whole experience was great, friendly, capable staff and a lovely dining room, when the food came it was well presented and very tasty. The only downside was there was too much food, and it was so good it had to be eaten. All in all a good evening out which will be repeated at some future date.
Excellent meal and returning this Saturday. We had an excellent meal here the weekend before last…starters were more like mains…hubby had the dressed crab, I had the pint of shell on prawns with dip selection from the specials board; they were beautifully fresh and could have been a main. Beautiful steak too…Excellent service and a great atmosphere if you’re seated in the bar area, although there is a quieter dining area if you prefer. The new couple have only been running this a short time, but from what I’ve heard, they’ve really turned this place around!
Excellent! 4 of us had a great Saturday night there. The wine menu is good value- the Prosecco was light and fresh for 12.95. The food was really good. My monkfish in a seafood bisque was really first class and the gnocci were plump little clouds and perfectly complimented the bisque. Service was great and the place was buzzy. I’m really pleased to have a place like this in Ripponden.
