We went to the Mayflower last night for dinner (19 December 2016). The Mayflower is an iconic Chinese restaurant in Liverpool and has been around for years. I don’t live in the U.K. so when we do visit, the Mayflower brings back nostalgia from coming here over many trips growing up.The service was exceptionally good. Consistent throughout. The waiters were friendly and attentive. The food was fabulous too. The duck and pancakes and the chilli beef birds nest were super dishes. My favourite dish however, was definitely the prawn toast. Would go back purely for that! Overall a great evening thoroughly enjoyed by all. Would definitely recommend.
Go to Chinatown. This does a lot of passerby business due to location and on the weekend is often full of hungry drunks. The food’s not bad but there’s far better just 5 mins further in Chinatown. It’s a little more expensive than the average Chinese.
