What a great and reasonably priced gastro-pub. Came here with a co-worker for lunch whilst spending a day in Liverpool and cannot recommend highly enough! Friendly and attentive service in pleasant surroundings.
Wonderful Gastropub. A lot of thought and attention go into the food at this pretty and elegant pub. However, do not expect cheap prices, because the food is high-quality, much of it locally sourced and hormone -free, and prepared with care. I had a rib-eye steak sandwich and order of homemade chips, both of which were excellent, with the bread likewise homemade (i.e., fresh baked in house). The sizes of sandwiches are large, so you might want to share. This pub specializes in wine, and the wines by the glass and the bottle are varied and interesting. It makes sense to make reservations for dinner; ordering just a glass of wine or beer is easy, but the place is known for food and hugely popular, so plan ahead.
Varied menu. The menu here changes often and it offers a good selection of rarer dishes in Liverpool. The offers are good value for money and staff are always professional. I wouldn’t recommend it for Sunday lunch as you can get better elsewhere in the centre for less.
