Well the have been a fan of Al – faham my entire college life. There was this afgani food joint in Banglore where we used to Hogg on Al- Faham . But this time in this outlet I actually tried real Afgani cuisine and the Al – Faham was out of this world . They specialise in clay oven charcoal kebebs and I agree the kebabas are special here . I now know what a Al – Faham actually taste like . very different from the Indian spicy one available . doctorfoodiereviews.blogspot.com
Just the quaint little restaurant with good food. Ended up here after roaming around the Curry Mile looking for something which fits the budget and is tasty too. Afghan cuisine attracted me as I had never tasted Afghan food. The menu is not huge which is a good thing. We ordered Chicken Al-faham and a Kabab platter. The Chicken Al-faham was perfectly cooked with a nice saffron colour. It tasted great, with the right blend of spices and cooked to perfection. The lamb sheekh kabab was a tad-bit egg flavoured, maybe a the chef put a more egg to keep the shape. The taste was good. It came with a soft Naan. The chicken kababs were nice too.Overall, a good place to grab a bite when fine-dine is not what you are looking for. It has dine-in and seating in two floors. Prices are reasonable, our bill for the two dishes (enough for two average eaters) came to about 13.
