I love this place! They have endless vegetarian dishes and they are amazing without exception. There’s even a 10% student discount if you pay in cash and the staff is very friendly and attentive (won’t leave you waiting an eternity).
Tasty food. I had vegetable samosa for starters. It was crispy and had a good filling. For mains, i had garlic naan and paneer mutter mushroom masala. It was spicy and well made. Will definitely visit again, especially since they offer a student discount also!My 2nd experience was not good at all. I ordered the same mains but the masala in the paneer was awful. It had a taste of non-veg masala and I was simply unable to eat it. Off my list now.
The best and probably the only authentic Indian restaurant in the greater Manchester area which is otherwise full of Pakistani and Bangladeshi restaurants, the other one which is close is Dilli in Altrincham. Have authentic modern Indian cuisine on the menu with plenty of vegetarian options including Dal Makhani, Baingan Bharta, Tinda Masala etc, the service is excellent as well
Oh dear. Having read good reviews here and on other review sites I couldn’t wait to get my taste buds round what the Punjab Tandoori had to offer. If only I’d stayed in and washed my hair! What a dissapointment. Rubbish, flat, almost tasteless onion bhajis followed by a watery vindaloo that was about as hot as a bhuna and as bereft of chicken as a vegie chicken pastie. If you like good indian food avoid this place
