Of all the Afternoon Teas I’ve had this was one of my favourites. It arrived on a picnic bench and had many different things to try on it. The sandwiches were mini rolls. In fact everything was mini and I am a big fan of things in miniature! The other savouries included a mini shepherds’ pie and mini fish, chips and peas. The sweet things were mini donuts, mini scones with jam and cream, mini chocolate eclairs, mini macaroons and smoothies in shot glasses. The sweet/savoury balance is of the best I’ve had and having everything mini is a great idea. You can try it all before you get too full. I almost forgot to mention the varied selection of tea and friendly service.
