We had a great meal at this Wagamama. Excellent service, and delicious food. The portions are generous, so we were all very full! We had gyoza to start, followed by pork belly ramen, tonkatsu, and duck donburi dishes, as well as one children’s menu selection of breaded chicken with rice.
Wagamama in Salford has a very nice ambience, probably part of being in the heart of MediaCity UK.The staff are very friendly and helpful.I love my usual prawn kushiyaki, the sauce that marinated the prawns is so tasteful.Chili squid is a must for chilli lovers. All the rest of the dishes are really good.
Wagamama can’t be ignored, mostly because of the way it is spread across key locations in London and Manchester. On our way back from the Old Trafford tour and while exploring the Salford Quays, we were hit hard by hunger pangs which took us to the Lowry Outlet Mall which has a nice range of restaurants with open air seating. We chose Wagamama because it was the only restaurant which offered a variety for our vegetarian bunch. What did we eat?Surendra’s Curry (Veg): This was not only good looking and tempting but tasted real good with that slight coconut punch it had. Portion was huge tooWagamama Pad Thai: The best dish of the day and a wise decision by my foodie partner here. Play safe go for Pad Thai! Really hit the right spots with this one.Beef Ramen: Very watery in my opinion, but again thats my opinion. Wish there was more flavor in the soup! Beef portion was good though and I made good use of the sauce which came with the veggie dimsum.Sea food ramen: I might be writing the name of the dish wrong here, but this again had very little flavor in the soup. Maybe thats how it is supposed to be, but lesson learnt!A very 50-50 experience, but not too disappointed, as the Buddha beer was a new brew for me 🙂
