Adored this place. It was my friends birthday on Friday and let’s just say there wasn’t a moment we weren’t entertained.Not only was the food phenomenal, the staff were hilarious and so welcoming.We were able to play our own music.The funniest part was using a cucumber and tomatoes to dip into the cake and they made my friend the birthday girl suck on it. It felt like we were on some hen do. And we were given free shots. Great spot for coming for a party.
Il Pagliaccio, it is surely fair to say, is a place that is more about the atmosphere than the food. I went for lunch, perhaps half a year ago, with a friend. The place was packed. There was a private function going on somewhere within the venue. Young families were all about the place, having a raucous good time. This was a fun and happy place, a family owned affair that made you feel one of the gang.I ordered a calzone. I asked for it without the salami. The waitress was lovely. The pizza came with salami all the same. I didn’t complain. It was like being a relative’s house: whose going to complain about the small stuff when there’s so much love in the room? And besides, the food was plenty tasty. Certainly a place I wouldn’t remind going back to for a casual pizza that does the job. Screw Flanders.
