Spot on! I don’t give out 5 stars often. This pub deserves it for the following reasons: 1. GREAT menu – nutritional content thought out, generous portions, not overpriced, good variety on the menu without being too confusing; 2. Location – convenient to get to, on the riverside, could easily become one of my local go tos; 3. Space – the inside and outside is well laid out with plenty of space and areas to reserve for groups; 4. Drinks selection – there was a fair amount to choose from, a good selection of gins and a variety of tonics to mix and match, the rest of the drinks menu looked similarly well thought out. Will try the wine list next time; 5. Friendly, attentive, efficient staff.I had the mackerel salad. The dressing was beautiful. I got three generous fillets of mackerel and substantial green salad (bonus points for getting this right!) with good quality nocerella olives and dressed new potatoes.Will definitely come back here.
Probably another one of my favourite riverside places! I’ve never tried the food there but the staff are friendly and accommodating. Their bottles and jugs of alcohol are extremely decently priced especially given that this place is in Imperial Wharf. I’d recommend getting a bottle of their white wine and some tonic water to start with the drinks 🙂 Love their alfresco area by the Thames!Update to include the food: Let me just say that I never thought that one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had would be at a pub! They have a new chef and the pizza was really good. Crispy but juicy base, enough tomato, cheesy, gooey and basil. Also, I sat inside this time and the interiors are simply beautiful!
