Cafe OTO is in the heart of Dalston, really easy to access and to find. It is nice to sit there, inside and outside, the cafe is quite huge. Tables have different sizes, you can choose your table according to the purpose of your visit. Small tables to have a very nice cup of fresh mint tea with a friend and big tables when you come to study. Some of the staff is really nice, even though it is not true for all of them, but one thing has to be clear: the service is good anyway. I usually go to have a cup of tea, I tend to have a different one when I go there. They have delicious cake, however I do not have them all the time as they are a bit pricy, but I have to point out that it is fair. The cafe is also a nice place to study as it is not noisy but there is some background noise, which always helps me to concentrate. On the evening they close quite early to host some great music events, so it is worth it!

Bohemian Japanese Coffee Shop. This is how I’d imagine a bohemian Japanese coffee shop to feel like in Japan.I can just imagine beatniks reading poetry to an audience here. The large open space that features live off the wall Japanese musical acts to a willing Dalston audience. Nice coffee as well.
