I really like this pub but it loses half a point for being so far away from everything else! I dragged my friends up Amhurst Road, cajoling and promising them all the while that it wouldn’t be much further and that it would be worth it when we got there. It was with some relief that I discovered my promises were true, and they seemed to agree with me.This has a bit of a wild, pagan theme – lots of wicker and animals, though the rest of the decor is quite clean and cool, with slate grey walls. They have several craft beers (of course – this is a new pub in Hackney, it’s practically mandatory) but they also have a few ciders as well – including the ‘Deadly Ciders’, packing a punch at 6% and above, which pleased me greatly. jaminaward.wixsite.com
