Even though the food was nice, the service wasn’t so great. I had the Set 2 which was just a simple English breakfast and I did enjoy it. The mushrooms are sooo good! I will go back again and give this place another try an maybe this time my bacon will be nice and crispy.
Just stumbled on this funky Turkish restaurant by accident and my god do I not regret it!My dad and I chose to sit outdoors and we ordered the meat moussaka and grilled chicken skewers. Both extremely tasty. Complimented with a pint of larger each: blissful!I don’t know much about dalston but it’s definitely an up and coming area for restaurants. I’m definitely going back!
I discovered menemen here and it became my breakfast food of choice at weekends for quite a while. I did try menemen at a few other Turkish restaurants along Kingsland High Street but Red Art’s is definitely my favourite. It’s pretty filling stuff too. Coupled with a freshly squeezed orange juice and a good cup of coffee this will set you up for the day. Miso full! misohungry.blog
The food is amazingly good and they have nice unusual herbal teas. However the staff is always in a rush and it was a complicated to choose from the menu as a vegetarian and during the evening especially.
HORRIBLE SERVICE. I have been here 5 times now, each time hoping the service would improve somewhat but nada! Breakfast here was worth the money, but the service was horrible with the waitress huffing and giving us side eyes when we asked to order. The ambiance is mediocre at it’s best. Lunch was dreadful, the food being ok but the hassle of the waitresses was too much. They constantly seem like they’re in a bad mood with all the costumers and constantly chatter away in their own language.Overall wouldn’t recommend this place to be honest, waste of time and money!
Great Turkish Brunch. One of three small eateries next to eachother on Kingsland High Street. A great place to sit, eat and watch the world go by as you tuck into some awesome menemen and bread. Life is good in Dalston.
