Their burrito and nachos were fabulous just like the Views from terrace. This place is great for a nice quiet Sunday afternoon. Easy to get to, about 5-10 minutes walk from Wapping station. You can also go down for a walk to what Id call a little beach sort of a thing. Its one of my regular spots.
Old, full of history, a breathtaking view of the Thames and a delicious Sunday roast are the best words to describe the Prospect, a perfect spot for any sunny Sunday. This pub has lovely atmosphere in spite of the gloomy past, is perfect for groups and the whole area is fantastic for a relaxing walk. Plus they serve the soup in the bread bowl, and that’s always a winning move with me.

London s oldest! This place was apparently destroyed during the great London fire but has been reconstructed since.Another legend says this was frequented by Charles Dickens. Also some say thus also was a venue for public hangings by river side.Well the fact is all this makes the place full of character. And the nice fire place with cold point in your hand is a great way to pass a cold evening
Welcome to London’s oldest riverside pub. Would you believe that an inn/tavern/ pub have been at this place since 1520! A plaque proudly proclaims the fascinating fact at the front. The views from the rooftop terrace of Canary Wharf and Rotherhithe on a bright sunny day should not be missed; it’s simply breath-taking. I haven’t seen many pubs which can boast of such views and am happy that people down the centuries have let a pub be here for others to experience the view. The food is the usual pub food, I tried one of the platters and there is nothing unusual to write about. The place is completely out of the way for most people and only the aficionado venture out this far. Wapping is the nearest tube, and then there is a bit of a walk. I was surprised to see people coming in tourist buses here. I would strongly recommend this place.
Ok for what it is – chain pub food. Nice river views and the food was filling with a good choice on the menu. Nice for people looking for a pub style experience. A great mid way watering hole between Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf riverside walkway
