I go here every week so I thought that it was time to finally review it. The veggie brunch, in my humble opinion, is the best in London (I’m told the meat option is good too). It’s great value at 6.50, and where possible they use ingredients from the farm- this usually means you get a tasty mixture of leaves on the side. The main attraction is the generous portion of ‘Stepney beans’; you also get sour dough toast, eggs however you like, a potato cake and some other things. The coffee is good too, I always get a mocha- it’s strong enough and not too sweet. Today, I’d already had breakfast so I just got tea and piece of lemon and poppy seed cake (even the poppy seeds are grown on the farm) and they told me to come back for as many water refills with my teabag as I wanted (I got a funny look asking for this in another cafe recently). Even if the food wasn’t good, I’d still come here, but having lots of animals, friendly staff AND amazing food makes it my favourite place in London.
