Excellent, authentic, unpretentious Italian food. The beef ragu and the crab tortellini, in particular, were exquisite. They also have a lovely selection of Italian wines. Good service. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Decent southern Italian owned by Sardinians, but not extraordinary. We both had small servings of pasta and shared a contorni of grilled vegetables. Cool soundtrack of blues and soul.My vongole with creamy garlic emulsion was tasty. Pasta not as hard as you usually get it in the southern part Italy. My companion’s malloreddus alla campidanese was tasty too. That’s a traditional Sardinian conch shaped dumpling with tomato, sausage and saffron. The grilled veg was not great. Drenched in too much olive oil for my taste and under seasoned. The peppers hadn’t been peeled. The charred aubergine slices were the best bit of the dish.Good value. A light lunch for two including one large glass of house wine was under 27 including service.

We had a lovely fried mozzarella for a start (you can’t really go wrong with fried cheese, can you?) and I went for the crab raviolli as a main. It was very tasty and my friends gave great feedback on the calzone too (next time I”ll have to try it). The restaurant itself isn’t massive so it gets busy as you’d expect on a Saturday night in Shoreditch. The staff was friendly and did their best to please us despite the late hours (they managed to get us a table at about 10pm after a 20min wait).

Good pizza and a nice warm atmosphere. Good value for money. Had the Burrata and a pizza which were both really nice. Would go back a second time for sure.

Disappointed. We have eaten at Amici Miei several times and had a lovely experience , however our last time there was absolutely horrible!! After we mentioned one of our meals had come with re-heated frozen chips (which was not on the menu) the manager came over with a complete attitude and confronted us….. we’ve never had an experience like this before at Amici Miei but i can safely say we will never go back again!!!not even Mcdonalds would treat their customers the way Amici Miei did! serving below average food in a restaurant will only get you so far before the novelty wares out.

  • Never Full

Great pizza. The pizza was great! The ambiance and environment were great. Nice buzz to the place. Very reasonably priced. Negative – service. We sat for 15 minutes before anyone came to serve us and drinks came after out starter? And it was only half full. I guess someone called in sick in the last minute :(Would recommend though
