Only few mins walk from shoreditch station. When you enter the first things you notice is the interior designs!! I love the decor especially the disco palm trees and flower chandelier. But I’m still wondering why is there a bike on the wall? :/We came at 5 and it was quite empty but they had a lot of reserve tables for the cabaret and burlesque show.I recommend you to come late like 7-8 because if your mainly here for the show it better so that you don’t have to wait so long for the performance. Because they have to so lots of sounds checks and lighting checks. Luckily we came during happy hour is 3-7pm 😀 you get to pay three drinks for the price of two. I would recommend the flammable drink which is called the fogo de floripa^^ warning: it’s pure alcohol and it’s very strong! You can asked for more syrup if it’s too much for you. What you pay for is what your getting :PWe had to wait four hours >_< but I didn't know that the performance would start late but now I know better. The warm up music is very good! But if your bored and your friends feel anti social here the wifi password: FLORIPALDNFinally when the cabaret show started the room was darken and the I’m pretty sure the majority who enjoy the dances were the ladies xD it’s good inspiration for us to learn new moves I guess 😉 the acts were amazing such a tease! I wished I stayed longer but the show had 15-20 mins breaks and performances last up to three hours. I only saw the first two acts :((
Visited this restaurant on a voucher and received an enormous platter of very tasty meats with some salad and chips – very tasty. Along with that came some cocktails – they have an extensive menu in this respect. Live band on a Wednesday evening (as well as earlier a life drawing class). Nice venue.
Very pleasant food with great live music. And cocktails at delicious and the portions or food are massive. Nice out door seating area also.
Floripa is a nice little place where you can have relatively good food and listen to live bands. I went there on a Wednesday afternoon and I had a table outside on the terrace. the weather was beautiful and people were sitting outside, at some point all the tables were full. We waited for 20 minutes for someone to take our order and we had to go inside to ask one of the bartenders to send someone to our table. After we sorted this out everything went smoothly. The food came in good time and it was pretty tasty but I little bit overpriced. There’s a very small selection of vegetarian food so if you are into that I would suggest not to have many expectations. The live bands, I suppose make a great atmosphere in the evening. I never had the chance to go in the evening as it’s always really full and I don’t have the patience to queue at the bar.
We went to Floripa a few weeks back with some friends who had travelled down to London and wanted something ‘a bit different’.We enjoyed Brazilian beer and tapas for five. As we couldn’t decide what to eat we ordered the entire tapas menu and all the desserts! With service charge this came, unbelievably, to under 50! I would highly recommend the salmon and mango salad, patatas bravas and coconut cheesecake. The venue itself is fun and vibrant, relaxed, friendly and comfortable. But it gets very very crowded once the DJ starts playing to make sure you have your dancing shoes on.
We eat here once every few months and are consistently satisfied with the food. We tend to order small plates with some skewers and salads, maybe in combination with a sharing platter. I recommend the salt cod croquettes.Make sure you get a table in the little room off to the side of the bar if you don’t want to be subjected to loud music once the band starts. In terms of service they do have one annoying habit. Even when you order several small plates, tapas style, they bring all the food at once, instead of staggering things as they are ready. It means some items sit there getting cold. I mentioned this to the waitress last time, so I hope they change that.
This is a Brazilian themed bar/restaurant. It also has live music which helps the place get very lively. The only downside to this is that if you are 3/4 of the way through dinner and the music starts then all conversation stops there unless you can bust out your best sign languageThe food is authentic Brazilian and very tasty. For those of you on a budget there is a deal to be had through taste card – I believe it is 50% off. recommend the calabrese sausage. These guys also know what they are doing when it comes to cocktails – anything cachaca based and you wont go too far wrong! my approach is always to get in just before happy hour ends (7) and get a round of cocktails and a bottle of half price wine – that should see you through for a while. londoncurryblog.com
