Yes I know another duck dish, but wow this place was great! Authentic Vietnamese food packed with flavor. They had a huge variety and I would go back there playing Eeny, meeny, many, moe with the menu.
Quick take away lunch of the Kimchi Pork Banh Mi. Good baguette, nice and crispy, and good filling with the heat from the Kimchi coming through. Fine for a quick bite to eat, although the way the orders are fulfilled is a bit random with other baguettes ordered after mine coming out first themrsmith.me
Bad food! bad service! bad portions!. I went into Keu with my friends for lunch and ordered the chicken salad. it came to 5.50 with card charge and i was handed my order. It came in a standard size takeaway box and was literally 3 mouthfulls- half of the box- a long way from touching the sides. It was just a few bits of chicken with bean sprouts!! I went to the lady at the counter and said the saiad was tiny for the 5 I paid! she shrugged her shoulders and said this was just the portion they served. Ridiculous! I said I would never go there again and I suggest that other people dont! Better to go to itsu/pod/japanese kitchen for a salad! Bad service!
Nice banh mi!. Although I have never travelled to Vietnam and the only banh mi I have previously tried was ghastly I thought I would give this place a go. I was not disappointed. I had the classic with pork belly, chicken liver pate and pork roll. It was dressed with Jap mayo, chilli sauce, Maggi liquid seasoning, pickled mooli, fresh chilli, cucumber and fresh coriander. WOWZER! it was lush! The baguette had the perfect crust giving way to a feather light crumb. All in all a great sanger.
