Best turkish restaurant in the area I think, the kebabs and the aubergine dishes are amazingly good and not expensive at all! Always super tasty and juicy meat from the charcoal grill. Usually some free starters! House wine is nothing to write home about though… Service is great, very friendly and correct. Highly recommanded!
The food is great. Also very cheap. All the meats are cooked over a charcoal grill. I am always happy with lamb shish which is tender and served with rice and salad. My companion typically orders the vegetarian aubergine dish. They bring pita bread (toasted over the charcoal) and a complimentary starter such as tzaziki. We sometimes order an additional starter. We’ve had the tarama, aubergine ezme, beef sausage, green beans and albanian liver. Everything we’ve eaten here has been very good, with the exception of the calamari. The green beans on the starters menu don’t sound very exciting but they are a favorite of mine, being sweet and delicately flavored with olive oil and shallots.PS. Pera has recently re-opened after refurbishment. Previously ugly decor has improved considerablybut happily the low prices have remained. In cold weather, it can feel draughty near the picture windows.
