I really enjoyed my burger here… went for the classic cheeseburger with a side of fries and coleslaw.Service was friendly and quite quick, although they were not exactly bustling when I was there. First the not so good… I didn’t like the coleslaw at all… the mayo was very eggy in taste and completely overpowered it, always a gamble for me trying a mayo based coleslaw, and this time it didn’t pay off.The burger itself was very good, the patty was cooked medium well, and was a little crumbly with nicely charred bits that were almost crunchy, which not only tasted great, but gave a nice textural difference, the rest of the burger was quality too, no sickeningly sweet bun, great cheese, and salads, and a bit of pickle that comes in every now and then. The burger sauce was great, there’s wasn’t so much of it that it was going everywhere and it did not detract from anything… just played a good supporting role.Fries were pretty standard but good for standard fries, nice and crispy, not too oily… just good. Amazing place to have a good dinner! The wings were amazing and the ribs were delicious. We were served by a gentleman called Afonso and the service was brilliant. Will come back for sure.
This food was delicious! The ribs are so succulent and well seasoned. The price is reasonable. It’s a popular place and gets crowded easily though. I hope to go back in the near future.
Food poisoning… Twice!
Visiting Red Dog Saloon was extremely exciting. As i called in advance to find that the chicken was halal. I was extremely looking forward to taking on the naga viper chilli wings challenge. However once there, i learned that the staff were little educated on what halal! and if they served it. Despite asking numerous staff members it was all hear say and not 100%. That was the downside and a big let down. Having said that I did have a burger (veg) its was quick and without a doubt tasty. Its a place, quick, fun and exciting if there were no restrictions to meat. Would i visit again? I’m not sure it’s the place for me. My score is 3.5 due to the knowledge of staff and not based on the food and service.
I booked a table for 7 but ended up coming in a group of 4 which didn’t cause any problems since Wednesday at red dog saloon is very quiet at 3pm. My friend wanted to take the HOT WING CHALLENGE 😀 The waiter straight away told us his opinion and said NO DONT DO IT! And we asked him give us a rating of how hot the hot wings are out of 10? He said 100 I said if I was a waiter I wouldn’t tell anyone and watch people suffer xDThe waiter didn’t seem to convince my friend enough because me and the others kept telling him to go for it… The waiter even offered a sample of the sauce I said no need cause he will do it xDSo the waiter accepted defeat and let him take on the challenge. I thought the waiter was just building tension and scaring the customers…My friend had to sign a form and sell his soul away~ joking just agreeing to the rules of the challenge no drinks and no toilet breaks for 15 minutes. Then the waiter give him a pair of gloves which again I thought he was adding more build up…When the waiter bought the basket with only six small wings, we had faith in my friend… Unfortunately he only managed to eat twoTIPS: when eating spicy food drinking water does not help only sugar and milkshakes does. Even better MILK!! and the hospital is only ten minutes walk away…My friend had to take a breather out side and taken fresh air. To me and my mates it was unbelievably funny but the waitress just informed us that his tasted buds are now ruined and he is feeling excoriating pain :(( if it’s that bad they shouldn’t be really serving is :/ to be fairThe waiter that served us was very entertaining, funny and the waitress was very caring. I had the DEVASTATOR burger. I loved the patty but I was sad that there wasn’t enough pickles :'( My friends really enjoyed their day Would recommend the Hot wing challenged… if you have a list of people you hate and wanna watch them suffer mwuahaha But if you know you can’t handle spicy food well AVOID it! I brang some hot wings back to work and some of my co workers had tears in their eyes just from tasting the sauce. Which is the 2nd/3rd hottest chilli in the world
Authentic Americana. Beers, wings, fries, hot dogs and shakes. Red Dog Saloon reminds me of true local southern restaurants. Think plastic fries baskets, yellow mustard bottles and wooden dining booths. Although the food is good, and atmosphere, Red Dog is like plenty other Southern style restaurant. I’d happily return for cocktails/drinks or even order a hot dog and shake to take away. But for burgers, there’s so many other great, original places. sophielovesfood.com
