Its an interesting spot but also a little weird. We wanted a chilled place for a drink. When we walked in it was all eyes on us, slightly intense. A turkish type cafe downstairs is your welcome. When we were taken by two separate people to the cute victorian lounge upstairs, i was intrigued by the decor but concerned by the hygiene. Everything is old and stained. My allergies kicked in with sneezing, but if you can move on beyond that, its not bad. Cute, quiet and a bit of a sanctuary away from crazy Shoreditch High St. Two negatives to note is that they don’t take cash which only volunteer after you order and receive your drinks. I am always suspicious about place like that as in this day age EVERYWHERE takes card, even the farthest, quietest villages. So why not a central bar right in the middle of East London’s drinking and eating hub. Next is the service, quite cold. They hover and once they tell you how much you owe, they stand over the table like a club bouncer expecting a fight. For 13 you won’t get any hassle from this little romantic couple outing mate. I am hoping that this was a one off bad service and vibe visit, as the place is waaayy cute, the pricing was right an its a welcome break from the noisy licenses establishments just down the road. cookandpour.co.uk

Quiet tea room during the day, raucous at night. This place is awesome to go for a late night drink, the walls draped in ornate/kitsch velvet curtains and chandeliers chime as you shuffle through a busy diner. Few places you walk through the door and are transported elsewhere (GO UPSTAIRS). Table service, fun staff and great cocktails. The coffee is of a good standard too.

Hi everyone ,The Bridge is a very cool bar on Kingsland Road. Upstairs there is a lot of sofa, The decoration is typical British. It’s the perfect place to chill with friends or to work There is a free wifi hot spot. You can enjoy a large selection of tea or coffee in a extraordinary place. On the flip side, this is not a place to party, the atmosphere is very quiet and cosy, It’s not noisy at all. This is definitely one of the best secret place in Shoreditch High street.

The Bridge is on Kingsland Road, actually under a bridge…Lovely and charming little place where you can enjoy tea, coffee, cheesecake, or a beer, some wine. The venue itself is strange. Cool old-fashioned american cafe. The first floor is large. Now if you turn right once upstairs, you end up in further deep in what seems an endless maze. A pleasant surprise though, you really feel cosy.

One of Shoreditch’s biggest and best secrets! This is truly an extraordinary cafe. From the outside, it is difficult to see what makes it so special, but when you go upstairs you walk into an entirely different world, of tea, wine, cakes, and turkish delights, where people are conversing till the early hours of the morning, and sitting in an absolutely stunning decor. They have the best deserts in Shoreditch, and the best coffees freshly grounded in their huge crome machines.
