Went to Chicken Box last night for the first time in Boxpark, I ordered the Mexican Chicken. After I’d started the meal I found my chicken to be very undercooked, when telling the waitress she was very rude to me, arguing with me and clearly slagging me off to the chef within clear earshot. Luckily I haven’t been ill today, but salmonella could have been a real issue. Horrific food and horrific service.
Probably the worst meal I’ve ever had. I had the chicken burger. You could tell the bun was cheap. felt like something you would buy from Iceland. chicken breast inside was ok but tiny and the salad was pretty boring. No sauce in the burger. Came with McDonalds like chips and not in a good way. I also bought the mac and cheese which was literally a block of mac and cheese that had obviously been frozen in a huge batch and reheated in a microwave. It was SO dry. First time i’ve ever been served a square piece of mac and cheese on a flat plate. Gross. My girlfriend had the 1/4 chicken with Steamed veg. More like an 1/8th of a chicken. It was tiny! Steamed veg was horrible. She had one bite and put it aside.This is all coming from somebody who isn’t very picky when it comes to food. I was genuinely upset with the quality of the food, which rarely happens. I really got a sense that Boxpark has now become a total tourist trap.Won’t be going back.
