If you’re into tracking the underground music scene this is a must. For years the Old Blue Last has played host to the best up and coming bands in the UK. Why? because it was saved by popular alternative mag VICE in 2004, shifting the focus from boozy debauchery to live music.Ok selection of beer, often busy, upstairs is where the gig venue is. I hope it is here to stay for many years and long live live music.
Hipsters love it here, and what’s not to love at this Vice Media-owned hangout in Shoreditch. It’s definitely a fun place to grab a drink, particularly in the midst of this glorious English summer. It’s also really great for watching all the hipsters doing all there adorably pretentious things.
