All the hype around Flat White is totally unjustified. There coffee is one of the more average ones in London. They only have soya milk as a dairy-free alternative and the coffee itself is not exceptional. The vibe is quite dull and hipster, the small uncomfortable seats don’t help either. Overall, definitely not what it makes out to be.

Perfect place for coffeeholics kinda small but worth the wait. If you’re planning to have a short coffee break this is one of the best coffee places in London.

Always crowded but the staff is really nice. I like this coffee shop for many reasons: coffee, ambiance, location and staff.Great place to cross by and grab a flat white.

Disappointing for speciality coffee. Only serve soya as a non dairy alternative. Coffee was average. Plenty of other choices around making a much more satisfying cup.

I live across town and always thought it worth trekking to the cafe because of the excellent breakfast and atmosphere. Last time I was there I had the most amazing toast, scrambled eggs and grilled chorizo. The bread was artisan and fresh, the eggs were bright yellow and delicious and the chorizo was to die for! Not to mention the generous size of the portion. Imagine my disappointment when I dragged my boyfriend there telling him what an awesome place it was only to get food that was barely edible and appalling service. I got three meager pieces of bread, some scrambled eggs which were cold and rather grey, and a few slices of cold, pre-packaged chorizo. Far from the delicious meal I was expecting! My boyfriend had a bacon sandwich (because there were no more bagels) and that was two small pieces of regular, supermarket sliced bread with a few slices of incredibly salty bacon. We also had two glasses of orange juice and that cost us 20.50. Apart from the appalling quality of the food, the service was also incredibly poor. There wasn’t a single person there who smiled or made us feel welcome and well looked after in any way. Even the piece of paper with the manager’s email on it, was thrown on the table in front of me and the girl didn’t even look at me or try to make amends. I was furious and incredibly disappointed. That quality of food and service for THAT price is absolutely unacceptable. Especially in a place like London where high standards are essential to survival. Flat White was one of my favourite place in town but it is not worth going back to anymore.

This place was recommended to me by a friend of mine who has been living in London for the past year. The location was pretty great. When I first walked in there weren’t many others in the cafe but the atmosphere was pretty relaxed and staff were friendly and up for a quick chat. The coffee was great, perfect drinking temperature straight away which is sometimes hard to find. Costs were pretty standard 2.80 for a flat white (!) and 5 for a tomato, basil and mozzarella baguette. The other items on their menu looked pretty good too, I’ll definitely be going back for more.

Please smile.. As a Melbourne barista (who’s been travelling the European countries who AREN’T all that crash hot at coffee for the past 6 months), I was keen to try some ‘Australian’ style coffee. Sure, I found it at Flat White. The shot was excellent, and very fresh. Milk texture was also very good, however slightly off temp-wise.However what really let this place down for me was the attitude of the staff. Across the board, no one looked like they wanted to be there. The customer should not be made to feel like an inconvenience. They weren’t exceptionally busy (there were a few spare tables and no one standing around when I walked in), so it’s not as though that can be used as an excuse (not that it should be!). Even if you’re having a rubbish day, part of your job in the hospitality industry is to be hospitable!! At least PRETEND you’re interested in serving me. A real shame as the product is very nice.
