When I was looking for the address I knew it be upstairs some where…? I ended up at a old bar and I didn’t see stair cases. Me and my friend got very excited 🙂 like a Harry potter feeling and then we saw a sign!! Soho secret tea room 😀 the sign had me worried because it said you need to book or call in first >< I asked the bartender how do I get in and he pointed us the stair case at the back on the bar luckily it wasn't a busy time. Up the stairs we walked up and first thing you see in pink painting and picture frames on the stair case. I love vintage houses and this one had a Victorian staircase and then we saw a door and open it and there it was the soho secret tea room!!! The moment we walked in :O we was frozen, excited, in awww and shock all at once!! Ahahahha so many emotions xD the waitresses were very friendly and informative they said the busiest days are weekends and evenings. Me and my friend couldn't stop giggling and pretending we were all "posh" 😉 and we kept talking about tea parties we had as a children… The best thing about being in England is TEAAAAA!! The only downside about this place is teacups, I have a obsessions with tea cups and I know they didn't have any of the brands I like ginori, suzy cooper gardenia, wedge wood or a foley :/ but I'm not that fussed; it's not like I'm at the ritz 😛 or I could just go to portobello road and buy some… When I'm richer :'( I'm getting off topic… Ahahaha the prices are very fair and cheap and they also do dining hear 😀 I will definitely come back!!! Totally recommend it for people who love exploring ^^ – don't forget to hold the saucer up when your drinking tea and stick your pinky out 😉

Good service but very disappointing afternoon tea. All of the cakes and scones were dry and basically in edible. Overall, not recommended.

I happened to visit this place a couple of weeks ago for some tea and had a truly amazing experience. The ambiance is a 1940’s theme and the staff is likely dressed. The tables are cozy and the place has an old fashioned feel to it. The prices at this place were pretty decent as well and the overall experience was outstanding.

I was here with my mother on last Mother’s day, and had an amazing time trying different kinds of teas and cakes. We called for different varieties of cakes and teas, all of which were brilliantly prepared and tasted delicious. The staff was pretty friendly too and we had an amazing overall experience.

Even after reserving a place well in advance you don’t expect to be asked to wait. Sadly this is one place where this happened and I was hugely disappointed with that. The staff was not professional enough to attend to the customers and were busy chattering about their shopping sessions. The tea that we ordered turned out to be a normal earl grey and the servers could not make out anything from what was different in the order. I would suggest the management to become a little more professional.

I have been a loyal customer of this place and have always enjoyed the food and the ambience at this place. It was only during my last visit that I realized that the place no longer lives up to its standards of the typical English restaurant that it is known to be, The floral linen and table cloths have given way to tacky paper cloths which is not a pleasant sight at all. The servers are not happy to serve you. The food is good but it used to be better before.

A quirky vintage cup of tea. What is there not to love about this place? It’s quirky, it’s vintage, it’s oh so very 1940’s English! I love the fact that you’re made to feel part of an underground society…although I guess with the increased publicity now, it won’t be a secret for much longer. The only downer was that my two scones weren’t baked well and were very doughy…but nonetheless served with beautiful clotted cream and homemade raspberry jam. But other than that, it’s definitely to be recommended for a relaxed cup of tea away from the hustle and bustle of Soho!
