Robin there is an amazing mixologist and that french accent is just even better! The three of us did not want the night to end. You can hardly get that quality or standard of cocktails in many places for the price even if you include the cost of the alcohol. No handover by the way. Surprisingly.

Our first visit to the Brighton BYOC (after Covent Garden and Camden) and it was the best so far. The bartender was extremely knowledgeable and experimental as well as being good fun and a great showman. We were one of only two tables which probably helped but we felt that we got lots of individual attention and also the care and detail put into our drinks was amazing. Lovely venue too. Thanks v much

Great time at BYOC . Fantastic evening. Our barman was beyond amazing and made the best cocktails we’ve ever had – we’ll be back! I had a really nice evening, thank you.

1920s speakeasy bar with poker / roulette themed tables and dark lighting makes for a good atmosphere for bring your own cocktail! The deal is 25 per person and bring your own bottle of unopened booze! Would recommend bringing smaller bottles as we had tons left over and couldn’t take them with us as we were going dancing afterwards but we gave them to another couple which was good! The bartender talks your through what you want and what goes in the cocktail – we were in a big group so he also made us a big punch bowl for when we were thirsty in between cocktails. He allowed me to help make the cocktails as well which was fun. Seems a little expensive when you ending your own booze but all sorts of mixers provided and you get loads of cocktails – if you went to a cocktail bar you would be paying 8-12 quid for a cocktail so pretty good value and nice in a big group!! 🙂

We were v impressed, came early at 4 and had a whale of a time, less busy so bartender can pay more attention to us, had about 7 cocktails out of gin, dark rum, Tia Maria, vodka and prosecco. (There were 5 of us). Though I would recommend bring less than that. Place has a theme so added character to the ambience. Would defo go again to this branch.

A pretty ingenious concept – 25 per head for 2 hours in the hands of a quality bartender, using whatever booze (it’s got to be unopened) you’ve decided to bring. Upon arrival in the dimly-lit, sexy Speakeasy-style venue you’re told that your slot will get you approximately 4-5 cocktails. Given that a cocktail of equivalent quality anywhere else in London would cost over 10, this is pretty impressive value, even factoring in the spirits you purchase beforehand. We (my friend and I) also managed to bag 6 cocktails, on top of some rum punch courtesy of a neighbouring group of women – sharing is allowed and adds to what can easily become a boozy affair. The cocktails themselves did not disappoint. We brought Campari, Bacardi rum and Hendrick’s gin, to which the bartender adds any of the multitude of home-made syrups, juices and fruits. The bartender controls the drinks served but are open to input – we had a few fruity cocktails to begin with before graduating to drier, stronger ones (the penultimate one was Campari-heavy and met our request for ‘something damn strong’). A highlight for me was a Rum sour – perfectly balanced and light. All in all, a fun night out – perfect for a date or a group of friends pre-drinking. I’d recommend this over the Covent Garden branch due to the larger capacity (50 vs. 18) which made for a livelier atmosphere. gastronomicdabbling.wordpress.com
