Eating here with fellow Indonesian students on a Friday evening. Really easy to find seats for 10 of us without the need to queue or make reservation first. The place itself was okay, the owner doesn’t seem to put much thoughts about the interior but everything’s practical where you can find seats and table that serves their intended purposes. For our meals, we tried Laksa Soup, Nasi Lemak, and Char Kwae Teow. All of our orders were spot on in terms of authenticity and they’re actually quite delicious. It couldn’t hurt to add just a little spiciness to the food though. Oh and they served ‘chili flakes on oil’ (that normally used for Chinese cuisine) as ‘sambal’, so I would prefer them to make the intended ‘sambal’ as authentic as possible.Overall, quite a nice experience, although I’m not sure whether I would visit them again sometime soon. Basically I’m just here from a senior’s recommendation which imo a little bit below expectation. Pricewise, I spent 19 quids for two persons (meals and drinks), so it’s not that bad, especially for the taste of the food and the size. In conclusion, you can come here if you’re curious, but try to manage your expectations as well!
