I had been meaning to experience Afternoon Tea for a long time and finally got to tick that off my list as part of my birthday celebrations. I visited this place with my friends and had a great time. As soon as we walked into the Wellcome Museum we were directed to the Kitchen upstairs. The staff at the kitchen were very welcoming and took good care of us on the day. As part of our deal on the day, we were each given 3 sandwiches, 2 pastries, 1 scone with a teapot containing a hot drink of our choice. The sandwich selection were pretty standard consisting of coronation chicken, minted cucumber, smoked salmon etc. I wasn’t impressed with these sandwich selection and thought the taste could be a lot better. The pastries selection were of a slightly higher standard consisting of strawberry macaroons, pistachio truffle, mini red velvet cupcakes etc. Overall, I enjoyed my afternoon tea experience due to the good service and the lovely ambience here although the food was a let down.
