One of a number of recommended eateries in the Southbank Centre. Buzzing atmosphere combined with good food and satisfactory service. Menu offers a wide variety of dishes and an interesting selection of cocktails.
Really cant find a fault with the place! The portions were huge and tasty. The staff were friendly and prompt. The atmosphere was lively and colourful. They do 2-4-1 cocktails on Sun-Thur between 5-7pm and we also got to use our Taste Card which was great! Overall great night out with Freddy Yu
Awesome location for this restaurant. Popped in my last night in London to a bustling restaurant. Was seated relatively quickly and pondered the delicious menu. Ordered the katsu buns, homemade fries, enchilada, lamb tagine and couple of cocktails. The tagine was spectacular. Each bite was delicious! My party reported the enchilada was also tasty. The katsu buns whilst presented well, tasted a little plain. It need some sort of sauce. The service whilst friendly, proved the most difficult thing of the night, trying to get the attention from the waiter. This brough my score for Giraffe down a tad.
Have to give this place a three just for the location & people watching aspect. They also do good deserts (which is generally the case in the UK) Coffee well, we went twice & it was a hit & miss affair
Average franchise with average service and average food. Not impressed.Yes it was a beautiful warm evening in London so granted the place was buzzing with life but that doesn’t excuse the cocky and laid back service our warm bottle of wine and mixing up our food orders….we were only a table of 5.
A very lively and vibrant restaurant, the venue was packed due to the glorious sunshine. The staff were fabulous, attentive and nice. The food and drink I ordered were not so great. I ordered the San Fran super salad and the wave breaker drink. The salad was gritty and I don’t know whether that was due to one of the ingredients used or the spinach not being washed properly. I’m sure the spinach was washed (well I can only assume) but the texture of the grit was horrible. The dressing was nice and it accompanied the burst of almonds and pomegranate nicely. I wasn’t eating it thinking ‘wow this salad is sensational’ I was hungry so I ate it. The drink had an artificial taste of coconut. I actually thought the drink was a pineapple and coconut juice but as soon as I tasted it I knew the coconut wasn’t real. I asked the waitress out of curiosity and she said it was a syrup. Very sickly and it tasted like a had just sucked the top off a reef suntan lotion bottle. Not nice at all.
I liked the service, the food, the friendliness and speed of service. The full brunch is very good and the BBQ chicken and smoked cheddar quesadilla is also very good.
