I and a few of my friends planned to visit this place last night and we had the best time. The food we had ordered arrived in no time and was fresh and delicious. They know exactly how to satisfy your taste buds and I assure you that you will walk out totally satisfied and full. I am surely visiting this place again. Recommended highly.

We were in a hurry to get to this restaurant as we were running late for our show with only 35 minutes left with curtain up. After explaining our predicament to the very helpful manager we were seated quickly near the window table. the food was great considering it arrived swiftly.

I happened to visit this place a couple of weeks ago with a friend from school and the experience was truly disappointing. We called for a wine from the huge menu from the suggestion of a server, but it tasted terrible. Most of the dishes that we ordered were served in small portions and didn’t quite meet our expectations. Though the pudding was nice and big, I wouldn’t visit this restaurant just for their pudding.

I happened to visit this place a couple of weeks ago with some of my friends from school and opted to sit on the terrace as the weather was pretty nice. The food that we ordered was tapas style and most of the dishes tasted absolutely delicious. The service was prompt and attentive, and the servers seemed friendly as well.

Sometimes you want to eat a meal before you go and see a movie and it is on these occasions that these places are a helpful. Our experience here turned out to be one of those which we will remember for a long time. The service is just so quick and efficient that you are going to feel glad that you came there. The food is delicious. It is appropriately cooked and perfectly spiced. The wine to go with the dishes is just the perfect combination. You can enjoy the beautiful view while you savour the food. A must visit!

Great food, great atmosphere!. Relaxed atmosphere with the low lighting, comfy seating and the jazzy music coming from the main National Theatre foyer. Customer service was simply excellent, the waiting staff gave us excellent recommendations and were as friendly as it gets. We all had cocktails (as you do!) and they were JUST to die for. You would not necessarily think of going to the NT just for a drink… but think again! The tapas style food was sensational, we could have easily ordered everything from the menu as it all sounded delicious. I particularly loved the baked crab, the king prawns and the beef with mash.Good place to hang out with friends and enjoy a really good meal. 5 stars.

Terrace on the Thames. Had dinner at the National Theatre’s Terrace Bar and Food before seeing Scenes from an Execution. The restaurant was in a lovely location on the top floor of the Lyttelton Theatre overlooking the Thames and we had cocktails (Toffee apple collins: sweet and carmellly and uttely delicious, and an Espresso martini: coffee and vodka, i dont think life get’s much better than this) on the terrace before taking our table. From the menu (which consists of share plates of various fish, meat and vegetable dishes) we chose 3 dishes each (there were 3 of us so we managed to sample quite a few dishes) our favourites being the Steak tartare (bar none the best steak tartare I have ever eaten), King prawns in kataifi pastry (crunchy parcels of prawns perfectly balanced by a tangy sweet shallot marmalade), Confit chicken drumsticks (these had an intense chicken flavour and weren’t in the slightest greasy as a lot of confit can be, paired with a savoury shallot and sour cream dressing that freshened up the entire dish), Chicory, celery, apple, and caramelised walnut salad with roquefort dressing (again perfectly balanced bitter, sweet and pungent, and a great crunchy, creamy texture), but the standout dish was the Sea bream carpaccio with rasberry vinaigrette, which was fresh, unique and impossible not to keep shovelling in your mouth!!! We also had dessert (Marzipan tart with balsamic strawberries: sweet, cool and fresh, perfect with a glass of amaretto and Caramelised figs with port, marscapone and brioche: intense, decadent and perfect with the recommended glass of port) during the interval which was a delicious way to cap off the meal and the evening. Service was relaxed, but impeccable and all recommendations, drink and food, were perfect. Great if you want to have a dinner with friends, a romantic evening or a sparkly cocktail at the bar.
