Really nice local food joint. Me and some mates stopped by and had a quick bite. Sat outside and enjoyed some cocktails afterwards. Decent tunes on. Couldn’t complain at all. Great location too.

The rating for this one is not that high so didn’t have high expectations on this one. However, the interior is lovely! Nice decorations in the glass tables. Sat by the window when it’s raining, outside there is a small lawn and another outdoor dining area, really cute. As for the food, it’s not the best but decent enough for a restaurant in south bank. Try ordering 4-6 sides/snacks and share them instead of mains, it’s more worth it because you get to try more food in one go

I had been meaning to visit the Green Room for a while now as I always walk past it and it looks really nice. So when I got to pick the team lunch destination I picked this one. The menu looked fresh and tasty and there was a good selection of drinks.I had the burger with chips and I was very happy with it. While they only have one option and it is pretty simple without any fancy extras, the patty was juicy and slightly n the salty side like I like it and the bun was very fresh and soft. I wish all my burgers were like that. The chips were also very yummy and full of flavour. My colleagues also tried the squid and the chicken and they all said that they were glad I picked this place because their food was great. The raspberry wheat beer that I also tried was a bit too sweet but it was an interesting flavour and after I got used to it I liked it.The staff was very friendly as well and while the food took a little while the atmosphere of the place made up for it. I think it’s the quirky decor that has a hipster/reclaimed items vibe and a lot of light coming in from the glass windows all around that makes it feel like a happy place. There is also a beer garden outside for when the weather is hot and they sometimes put deckchairs on the grass so you can drink comfortably.I would definitely go back to try more of their menu and have already recommended it to some friends. darcrose22albionadventures.blogspot.com

Firstly, the positives. A few of the waitresses were lovely and clearly overworked! Now the negatives, the food was not how it was described in the menu, we order salmon with potato Rosti only to be given a salmon and a walkers chisp. It was that unbelievable it was funny. Also beetroot salad was a plain salad and the sauces on the menu didn’t come with the dish we had to remind them what the menu said a few times. Really they served us anything that sounded something like the menu. Our main courses came and I was informed there was some problem and I basically wouldn’t get my meal for another 10 mins, which turned into 20 mins and everyone else had finished eating. They didn’t charge us for this meal but when they knew it was going to be delayed they should have held all dishes back. Food quality was ok in the end, average but ok. This place clearly needs a manager!!

One of our recent, new local favourite. Great location, fantastic sustainable credentials, friendly and efficient staff and good, flavoursome food with good choice of artisan beers. Non profit enterprise, too. #dogfriendly too which is fantastic. Hopefully the menu choices will vary more in the near future. pastabites.co.uk

Somehow found myself looking for food in the obvious, hellish tourist trap that is the Southbank. In hindsight I should have walked 10 mins to the Cut, but instead we picked the unassuming Green Room, hidden around the back of the National Theatre.Little did we know the restaurant was actually part of the theatre.Food well priced but sailing close to being v average. Veggie Sloppy Joe was a massive let down. However the burger was decent and if you ever find yourself here it’s definitely the meal to get.Service not great, though do feel sorry for the waitress getting a bollocking as we left because she accidentally put 8xPotato Skins on our bill and nearly let us pay a lot of money for not a lot of quality.
