I used to order from Papa John’s quite regularly. On the last occasion I spat out a piece of metal with 3 sharp prongs that was inside the pizza crust! It goes without saying that this is really dangerous and completely unacceptable. It was small enough to be easily swallowed and could no doubt have done a lot of damage. Hate to think what it would have done to a small child.https://imgur. com/a/cdkzO(copy & remove space to see the metal)On presenting this to their customer services I was dealt with by fairly rude lady who refused to do anything about it unless I posted them the metal. Her excuse was that the pictures were too blurry for her to see anything. They look pretty sharp to me!If this happens to you I would recommend not sending them whatever surprise they have chosen to put inside your crust. Send it straight to your local environmental health agent instead. They simply want to take the evidence from you that they did this. I was told that it would be investigated and dealt with and of course my postage costs refunded (one would think they would have at very least refunded the cost of the meal too considering how dangerous this was). Not exactly unreasonable to expect.Upon sending them the metal I have never heard from them again despite chasing them up for a reply. It was sent to them tracked and I can see they signed for it so there is no reason for them not to have responded.Completely unacceptable, dangerous and worst possible way to deal with a customer after attempting to feed them a sharp piece of metal.
