Awkwardly empty and quiet but really good food! They deserve more business. The chicken satay skewers with special Mamako sauce were great to start. For mains, the Malaysian beef rendang was absolutely delicious, as was the lamb fillet in lychee in red curry sauce. This place is in a sub-optimal location with bad marketing, but the food deserves more custom than it gets.
Mamako is located off West End Lane, on a quiet road called Broadcast Gardens. Because it’s off the main road it doesn’t get a lot of foot traffic which is a shame – this is a genuinely lovely little restaurant that deserves to do really well. They do a great lunch time menu – the bento box is filling and you can add extras for only a little more money. londonisforliving.com
