Wow! This will be a very special review indeed. We had our wedding reception here. The lovely and talented proprietors were too hospitable on our special day. On to the review! The Kilburn High Road is a busy strip of London. It’s multi ethnic vibe is very similar to Toronto, so the Wife and I always felt at home in this neighborhood (despite the sketchiness that is in the area). Now, off the Kilburn High Road, is residential streets with homes in various states of upkeep. Down Belsize road though, things quite down a little, and round the bend in the road, this gem of a pub can be found. If you want really good cocktails and a good selection of beers on tap and in bottle, then go here. If you want really good, wholesome good, go here. Merlin the proprietor really knows his stuff (he used to be world brand ambassador for Bombay Sapphire Gin) and it shows in his cocktails and in the way he’s trained his staff. I recommend the Dark n’ Stormy. Although, most recently, I had a classic Sidecar. So good and valence with congac and orange. I would go for the Mac n’ Cheese, foodwise, it was rich and delicious, laced with truffle oil and breadcrumbs. My tipple of choice is the Timothy Tailor Landlord ale, as it’s probably my favourite brew in the world. But see what guest tap is on, it’ll be something good! So much nostalgia, so forgive me! Go for a good drink, good food, good pub games in a nice pub atmosphere. Tell them Sidd sent you!

This place requires a special review. If you ever been in Kilburn and was walking along it’s high street, you would definitely remember the busyness and crowdedness of the area. However, Priory Tavern is hiding from all of this noise and has a very quiet neighbourhood. The pub itself is a very calm place for after-work chill out. Here you can find a variety of board games to play, darts is also available (don’t play darts with strangers, because you risk to make new friends). Now, of course, food. This place has an amazing kitchen, I wouldn’t say that it is something that you get in very expensive restaurants, but the quality of food is good, taste is great and presentation is amazing. I loved fish and chips that they make, deep fried calamari was also good. Last time I went there I ordered a board of smoked/grilled chicken wings in a sticky bbq sauce, that was descent, yeah I can admit that I’m a chicken wings freak -). My friend went for a burger and he was never disappointed, he even said that it was the best burger in his life, but all opinions as you know are subjective, so you have to try on your own or not to try. This place also provides a variety of cocktails and draught beers(Hoogarden and Kozel), which you can’t find anywhere around this area.
