Probably the best coffee you’ll get in West Hampstead, but still not as good as some other places in London. Never bothered with the food which is a small range of pre-made sandwiches and cakes etc.The cafe itself is far too small and the entrance is often crowded. Never a great experience but the coffee is worth it if you can get in and out quickly.
I really like this place – it’s been great to study in here, the coffee is good, and they even do a decent flat white. The mocha is excellent. A quieter and hipper bit of West Hampstead than the usual chain coffee shops.Food options seem to vary over time, perhaps deliberately to provide variety (had pies for a bit, now seems to have sushi) or perhaps to find their niche. Either way, it’s good! (But perhaps a tad pricey for the food, whilst the coffee seems fine price-wise)
Over the last couple of years West Hampstead has welcomed two new independent coffee shops. Wired is my personal favourite as there’s space to sit down, listen to some good music and get the best piccolo outside of Soho.My Friday treat is their affogato – strong espresso poured over vanilla ice cream. The best. londonisforliving.com
