This elegant bar is pure Chelsea: chic, glamorous and a little bit Sloaney. On a stretch of the Old Brompton Road thats knee-deep in bars, Coquine stands out by virtue of being that little bit more sophisticated. Upstairs is an attractive bar and dining area while downstairs has a far clubbier feel. The cocktail list is incredibly comprehensive and reasonably priced (for the area). Try the subtly spiced Pain DEpice or the Catherine Deneuve champagne cocktail. Theres a large wine list and ten varieties of bubbly available too. The food menu is divided into small bites and more substantial dishes; they even have a raw bar. The basement club has a much livelier vibe. Theres room for dancing and stylish booths dotted about the place. You could easily spend your whole evening in Coquine and not feel the need to move on elsewhere.
