I went to Streaky Gin a few times because it was around the corner from where I lived. The place is cute even though the tables are right on Gloucester Road, not the most scenic of locations and very close to passing traffic.The menu is short but good and food is generally well prepared, but service is very slow and quite erratic. It always seemed like the kitchen was struggling to keep up with orders despite the small size of the place and relatively slow pace of customer turnover..
Popped into this cute place on a Friday evening. It nestles at the top of Palace Gate and Kensington Road.It’s a bar cum diner, very funky inside with a nice terrace outside, with Japanese restaurant Koi next door.The service was immediately friendly and they were genuinely interested in you.I had the most tasty gorgeous snack – a very ingenious taco with fish and very yummy spices. But the cocktails were the star – I had something called a Hyde Park Streaker. This contains Bombay sapphire, st Germain, champagne and …. the real star …. Jalapeo. And topped with cucumber and basil. I had to have two as they were so nice !!Lovely community local place, give it a try !!
