Have returned to this chip shop since the review below and the batter was of far higher quality – the oil having been changed more recently than at my last visit – and the fish was okay; there are still better chip shops around, but the Fresh Fish Bar is adequate for ’emergencies’. Chips are perfectly fine, but the fish leaves a lot to be desired – dry and cooked in oil that needs changing; there are certainly better fish and chip shops in the area e.g. ‘Adams’.
