When we walked in on a saturday afternoon I never expected the food would be so nice..perfectly flavoured, nicely presented. The combo platter that we took was perfectly portioned too.The friendly staff suggested some nicely named dishes. Patience paid back and finally when the dish arrived it was a nice aroma of perfectly blended spices combined with a nice presentation made me more hungry.And the verdict..awesome taste the expectations were perfectly met.
Horrible service. The meat served was cold. When we informed the staff they just reheated the same dish and served it back to us. The fish dish had no salt and when that was informed we were given salt to add. Over priced for this shitty service. It costs more than 40 for two. Not worth it. Don’t even consider going here.
I’ve been here once, just after it opened, and unfortunately cannot go back again. To say we had a shocking experience is an understatement! Granted, we were a big crowd (around 15) but there were no other people in the restaurant, so we did expect some better quality service and food!In short, the waiters majorly messed up the majority of our order, the drinks took forever to arrive and the food was quite honestly sub-par. By the time some of our tables mains arrived, the others had finished theirs 20 minutes before.Potentially they have figured out some of the bits they need to change, but after such a shocker the first time, plus the fact that I walk past this place daily and it never seems to be busy, I still have my concerns!
Nice place, food was really nice and I would definitely go again. It has a nice atmosphere too except the waiters aren’t very helpful and one of the waiters we were served by didn’t have very good english and at times was abit hard to communicate. The food was lovely tasting though!
Khanage is a hidden gem hidden away at the end of the Northern Line – true Lahori food served in a really funky environment.The ambiance matched the quality of the food, delicious Nihari (lamb shank) served with Kulcha Naan, Lamb Pasande (filleted lamb slices) served with Tandoori Roti both favourite dishes were just so tasty and the meat just melted in our mouths. The spices were just right not mouth burning so that you could savour all the different spices.
