Visitied this pub during a recent stay with a friend in Palmers Green. There is a shortage of places to go in the evening, so this was a nice spot for a drink. They have a large beer garden so its fab for summer. Be careful not to sit in the smoking area as its righly smelly. You can order food at the bar, again remember your table number. Inside is clean and cosy. Lounge bar area, with the dining area towards the rear. Staff are good, selection of drinks are good aside from the wine which could have been chilled a bit more. cookandpour.co.uk

A popular pub that has been within the area for years. The pub is quite charming however, it is quite dark. The open fires in the winter are inviting and then in the summer the large beer garden is welcoming and busy. Service can be hit and miss if im being honest. But staff are friendly and courteous. Food is good, fresh and tasty. Usual suspects found on the menu, from fish n chips, to steak n ale pie and the portions are generous. This is a good lical pub that caters for all age groups, from families, couple to groups of friends. You wont find music here but it doesn’t need it. A good local wholesome pub!

Came here with my best mate for anfternoon/ evening catch up. The pub is lovely and large with and old style to it. We had a lovely 3 course meal my starters were kalamari with a lovely dipping sauce, the followed by British sauced sausages with spring onion mash & gravy it was lovely then I had a rhubarb and apple crumble with custard. It was all lovely and would come again.

Excellent evening for 6 in the restaurant area. Fantastic service from all the staff. Great value evening menu, way above average pub style food. Nice atmosphere for family meal.

Ye Olde Cherry Tree is a favourite spot of ours for many a year. An authentic pub thankfully free of despair inducing fruit machines. You will get an above average pub dinner here at a good price. I found that the steak ‘n’ kidney pie had the necessary satisfying quality, which may have come from using beef suet in the pastry, which is how it should be made. It was served upside down, why nor serve the right way up, as the crusty top of a pie is what invites you in! Served with nice seasonal crunchy veg, not soggy. A few more chips would have been appreciated. The veg option found us crunching into a feta and broad-bean burger. The herbs had been added at the right time in the process so made a valid contribution to the flavour but perhaps some stronger flavours or spice were needed here. The bun was made with freshly made bread, double plus good. The service was prompt and friendly, even at a quite busy time.

Great place for a weekend pint – serves the usual lager/wine/spirits, plus guest and house ales. Nice atmosphere within the 300 year old tavern ( no football). But the food is mediocre at best.
