Perhaps nicer looking from the outside than it actually is, but still a decent place to meet/work.Had been meaning to try B&B for a while, because the name and a nicely painted exterior combined w/ crates of bread in the window give the impression this will be an all round authentic, cosy cafe.Turns out that it is part of the University, and it’s less cosy/rustic than the crated breads suggested. Lots of tables, OK courtyard area, friendly staff.Alright coffee and food looks good too. In all, a solid choice for the area as you’ll have to go quite a bit out of your way for a 5 star modern coffee shop experience.

I discovered ‘Barista and Baker’ whilst I was waiting for my university enrolment appointment and I have to say I immediately fell in love with it. Although it seemed an ordinary cafeteria at first, once I ate there and experienced the service, I was absolutely gratified I had chosen to sit there. The Tomato, Mozzarella and Pesto Panino, brought directly to your table, accompanied by free crisps, is extremely delicious. Apart from serving a wide range of paninins you certainly will not find in chains like Pret, this beautiful caf offers ‘interesting’ combinations of biscuits and cakes. The friendly staff and lovely atmosphere really do make my lunch break special.
