It’s a place with character. It sits below a train bridge and has used the arches efficiently to create cozy corners. The furniture is mostly a construct from recycled wine crates – at least the tables are. Gets real busy from about 5pm.Has a great selection of wines but I would recommend a meal at this place – great Brit food – honestly the best I have had in a while.
If you fancy wine-Blackfriars Wine Bar is the perfect place for you!Situated 5-10 min away from Southwark tube station, the bar specialises in a wide selection of different types of wines for connoisseurs!It was a surprise for me when a friend took me there for wine tasting. We tasted over 6 different types and finally stopped on one to enjoy it fully. The interior is marvellous and it completely matches the style of the wine bar-with wooden chairs and great selection of wine in bottles spread on the walls, the Blackfriars Wine Bar turns the drinking of wine into a whole experience.The service is at a high level and quite delicate. I love the place and I recommend it to all wine tasters!
