Appalling. Have been coming here for years and enjoyed it but sadly the management has changed and the quality and service has suffered. Eight of us dined there last night. The service was slow. Selection of meze starters unremarkable but the mains (chicken and lamb skewers) were just awful. Overcooked, chewy and cold. Inedible chips. When this was constructively pointed out to the manager(with plates of uneaten returned food) he sent baklava as an apology but refused to take money off the bill. Such a same. Dont eat here – they need to learn to respect their customers and start serving decent food again.
Garden in the heart of the city. I have been here so many times I am on first name terms with just about everypne but I also take friends and I have just had one contact me from the South of France to ask for the address. They are kindness itself with children I take and if you are not happy with your space they are happy to move you. Just ask. The food is fresh Med style and there are great virgin drinks for people who want something special without alcohol. Add in a garden and atmosphere and you will see why the locals love it.

Terrible service. I went there with my girlfriend on Sunday 19 June. We had lunch at the bar, food was ok and it came to 25. Went back to get two coffees for 4 and was told that there is a 5 minimum charge for card so the barman would not let me have them.Location and food are ok but really spoiled by rude and surly bar staff
Money Making Machine. It should be charming… but the service is soulless, unsmiling, the food a poor copy of real Turkish… everything is kind of mediocre. The coffee was good, but that was all. They have the gall to add 12.5% service automatically. I told the maitre d’ that the experience had been ‘charmless but adequate food’ – he didn’t flinch – they must hear it all the time, I guess they know how basic they are.
Beautiful food. I work in the Southwark area and make sure that I pay Ev a visit every couple of weeks for lunch. The service is quick, the decor weird and wonderful and the food just beautiful. You can choose from their deli bar that’s filled fresh salads (please try the aubergine and chicken salami salad!), cakes and boreks. There’s also an open plan kitchen so you can see how they make the bread in house. Great alternative to your bog standard sandwich places in the area.
Takeaway. This restaurant does unusual and good value take aways from Turkish cuisine. Well recommended
