There was glass in the curry dish that landed in my friends mouth. We were not compensated (price reduction etc) for this and when staff offered to replace the dish they repeatedly kept returning to ‘check’ with us that we really wanted another dish! The restaurant is very small and the staff were inappropriately and physically close to us, leaning on our chairs and ‘accidentally’ brushing against us. They placed two complimentary chocolates at the end of the meal with the bill when there were 3 of us and then took them away without leaving us a chance to even have one! Lamb was undercooked.
Brick lane never fails for me! We went in here for late eats last night, so incredibly tasty. I had the Chicken Pasanda, ordered extra spicy and it did not disappoint! A Fantastic Indian. Only downside was that we were rushed through our meal, kind of understandable as it was late at night though.
One of the best, if not THE best, Bengali restaurants on Brick Lane. Fairly priced, friendly staff, and modern interior. Delicious dishes from a broad menu with regional selections.
There are a lot of Indians Restaurant in this area but the first time I went there I’ve choose this one by random.I really appreciate the quality of the dishes, the service was good and the staff truly kind.I don’t know if it’s the better place to go to eat Indian food in Brick Lane but it’s definitely good enough.I’m used to really like spicy food, but be careful with the ‘Madras & Vindaloo’ it’s awfully too spicy, I could not finish it and had to order another dish… :(Typical Indians specialties like Curry and Tikka are really good.I’m used to go there at least one time a month.
