Located near Aldgate East Station, Big Moe’s is a famous American diner in London. Milkshakes are a must have here and the burgers are extremely good too. Milkshakes with ice creams across flavours are lip smacking. The hotdog and the sides were Eh. Reggae music with an elaborate decor can sure take you back in time. Big Moes serves great ice creams too. The staff is courteous too.
Pastiche American diner with a soundtrack to match. Doris Day was playing as we left. The kitchen is slow. There was a 25 minute wait for food.I had the fries and cheddar with colesalw. Scant amount of cheddar but grilled to a nice toasty texture. Decent skin on chips that weren’t greasy and had a nice mealy texture inside, but not terribly crisp either. The sour cream and chive sauce touted on the menu materialized as mayo with some dried herbs stirred in. Big portion of fries. Coleslaw was nothing special. Just cabbage smothered in mayonnaise. My companions big chicken dog was better. It tasted more like a bratwurst than a frankfurter, which we both considered a good thing. Served with quite a lot of fries and a little salad. It wasn’t expensive. We drank tap water and lunch for two was 16.50 including service.
This is very over rated dinner. Expected more as this was very hyped. Food was disappointing especially the burgers. Over priced and was definitely not worth the money. Better off going tinsel town
