Dropped in for breakfast en route to Spitalfields and was pleasantly surprised: bright, airy windows and retro toasters lined the middle of the dining room. The breakfast menu boasted more delicious options than I could handle: stacks of pancakes with maple syrup and bacon, eggs Benedict … In the end, I settled for a modest serving of toast and preserves and my husband ordered the smashed avocado with poached eggs on toast. My flat white was delicious; adding to my list of City/East London establishments to grab a decent coffee. Loved my toast and jam; simple but effective. And whilst my husband’s eggs looked somewhat … suggestive … they were cooked to perfection and added a hearty dimension to the avo on toast. Will certainly be back for more. angloyankophile.com

we’ve been there for dinner, attracted by the 20% offer during the evening-the atmosphere was great, the place is quiet small which makes you feel safe. The staff is very friendly and the foodgorgeous !I would recommend the salmon Ravioli made on site. Delicious!

Bishopsgate kitchen Breakfast isn’t always a straight forward affair in the City and for a place which must have its fair share of breakfast meetings, the choice also isn’t that great. Sure you have the sure fire Duck and Waffle for high quality dining or the Breakfast Club for something more informal, but what lies between? If you know, please inform me because I was struggling. On this day, Bishopsgate Kitchen came to mind and having walked past it numerous times, I finally took the most important step into the restaurant to check it out. Entering with no expectations other than to be feed, we ordered the honey and almond granola with greek yogurt and blueberry compote and the chorizo hash with duck egg, spinach and monchego cheese. Both dishes were nice and hearty with quite intense overpowering flavours. The granola was a sweet addicts dream as the honey was sickly sweet whereas in contrast, the chorizo hash was a touchy too salty though not enough to be offensive. Overall, the food didn’t set my world on fire but it did prove to be a nice little find which is go back to sometime in the future. wetrykai.wordpress.com
