Good food and very friendly staff . Loved their specials during lunch – in fact it was perfect . Since it was a business lunch it was a well timed service and I could have an excellent 2 course meal well under one hour
I spotted this place as I was looking for a quick breakfast and saw that they had a deal on for 7.50 for a full English. As I’ve never been before I thought I’d give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. The decor of the restaurant gave it a really nice atmosphere and the service was always fantastic. The food was great and good value for the area. I will be heading back!
What a find! Luckily stayed close to this Brasserie so found it during walk. Nice and easy, no fuss but as French as suppose to be. Nice layout, good price and potentially good service. Our waiter had a bit off day but I believe that’s not happens every day. Would go back to try it. katalinsom.com
Both visits were great. I have to say I was taken by surprise. Top service – look out for Aga – that encourages a little self-indulgence without offending (read: miracle). I really like the crepe (like really, really) and it can be found on both the lunch and dinner menu. What made me happier was that a lunch with colleagues was consistent in quality across our dishes. Everything was exciting and somehow not overbearing.
Normally, I am not the kind of person who would go to a brasserie on a Friday night, especially not one as nice looking as Brasserie Blanc but by the time I sstumbled out of work, my collegues and I found ourselves in a bind since the pubs were packed and we were starved. By chance, we happened on to this lovely establishment. The place was chill, thanks in part to the live music playing. We were quickly seated in the upstairs, since we figured we may as well listen to the music while we dine. The service was prompt and our waiter was wonderful. Everyone ordered different things and though the menu is a fairly small one, there were a wonderful selection of food and drinks. While reading the menu, I found myself at a cross since they have an award winning burger as well as a duck leg dish and a squid with chorizo platter. I found myself ordering a red wine with the burger, and by was it wonderful. The beef was perfectly cooked at medium rare keeping it juicy and tasty and the cheese never overwhelmed the meat. The bread was soft but stong enough to hold the burger togerther, even after all the juices started flowing. Even the chips were near perfection, crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. My meal came with a roasted tomatoe sauce that tasted a little too oily for the food but still pretty tasteful. After my delectable meal, I had a coffee and the four of us split what was perhaps the most delicious chocolate souffle I’ve had. I’m glad we split it cause after my meal and drinks, having one on mmy own would have been too much for my poor little sweet tooth to handle. Overall, I greatly enjoyed coming here and will be recommending it to my friends since they provided me with a much needed fresh of breath air after a long week at work.
